We believe that when children come to Hawthorns they need expert help to support and promote their development.

We use the image of a butterfly to share our belief that children will change as they grow, develop, become more independent.

Children develop confidence, self belief, self esteem, resilience, enabling them to leave Hawthorns school equipped for the next stage of their educational journey.

Above all else – we need to go where the children need us to go.

We strongly believe that children with special needs are entitled to special grown ups, teachers and support staff – and a special curriculum that can deliver the best possible education.
